A moldy paradise

We noticed the detergent dispenser was moldy so we moved and scrubbed it out. After running a clean cycle it just keeps turning up more and more slimy gunk from underneath. We do clean it regularly we dont use fabric softener and we dont overuse detergent. Its two months out of warranty and support was no help. Now I am stuck trying to remove and clean the agitator myself.

2nd LG washer first one lasted 6 years. This one is more basic since the computer part died on the first one. Sadly bought another LG even after using heavy cycle rather than normal and loading less rather than more laundry the top items always come out on the dry side not wet. We bought an agitator washer this time never again. I am re washing laundry to make sure its clean. LG sent Repair guy twice they say no problems. Yet they are nto doing the laundry we are just 2 people not a large fmaily. quality has really gone down with LG

Please make sure when you buy washers to make sure they can handle your loads I only added midway to leave room and like the other comment specified after having it for almost 2 years after the one year warranty it stopped spinning on the spin cycle you are better off getting a front load with a better wattage this washer is only made for smaller loads for a 2 person household

Purchased this washer based on the companys reputation and what the sales person told me. I didnt realize that the water levels were controled by a weight sensor in the machine which would be fine if it actually allowed enough water to cover the clothing being washed. I swear whoever thought this was sufficient should be demoted. Water was barely 1 inch yes.....1 inch deep and most of the clothing stuck out above the waterline as it went through its washing cycle. Did 3 loads just to make sure I didnt set something incorrect. Called customer service which of course is in a country where english is a second language and was told to press the Deep Rinse button. This changes the amount of water but also changes the wash selection from Normal to Deep Wash and you cannot change it back to Normal and keep the higher water level to cover the tops of the clothing Really dude??? AND IT TAKES AN HOUR TO WASH THIS WAY. So when the Normal setting is used the clothes spin around mostly dry only the items on the bottom get washed until the rinse cycle which then wets the rest of the clothing but were not actually cleaned. Thought I was doing something wrong I mean come on this should be able to be done with my eyes closed but I think thats how the designers did their work with their eyes closed but after now reading the reviews I see IT AINT ME. And its a shame because its a super quiet machine and ergonomically pleasing. But pretty doesnt wash clothing. In Europe they have washers that use a lot less water such as this but they are front loading and the clothing tumbles in and out of the suds. Extremely efficient. This was a waste of time as I had to clear a path to the laundry room to have it installed not to mention the time in the store and on the phone with customer service. Plus they took my older washer away so I am stuck with this until I exchange it for a more conventional machine. LG you lost a customer. P.S.: LG separate the water load size control like the temp control and you have a winner.

We bought this product with matching dryer almost 2 years ago. The dryer works great the washing machine breaks after 18 months. The spin cycle stopped working. Tried the smart phone diagnostic didnt work. Tried the chat on the app to get help nothing. The main warranty is up after 1 year and cant get help from site to get repaired. Dont buy this product is my recommendation

When you allow the machine sensor to determine the water level shine of the clothes do not even get completely wet. I have to use the deep wash on every load. Each load takes an entire HOUR That is double the time of my old washer. It also requires that three tub be put through a cleaning cycle periodically which means you have to buy product to clean the tubif you dont your clothes will start to smell bad Horrible washers in the market today. The older models are SO much better

Awful product I am currently without a washer for 2 months. The warranty is more of a hassle. The washer stopped spinning and wouldnt drain. Went through the warranty. Took weeks to get a tech. The tech they did get didnt put notes about the visits plural LG knows the issues and I just got a text the other day saying another tech has been assigned. Still no call from the tech. LG still wont issue a new replacement

The clothes come out wet no matter how many spin cycles you run. We thought it was broken and had an LG tech out. He said this model cant wash king sized sheets or a blanket. We were told to use a laundromat for our regular bedsheets.

This is the absolute WORST washing machine I have ever owned. About all it does is get the stink out of clothes and that is probably because I use a vinegar rinse to cut any remaining detergent residue left after it rinses. If an item goes in with dirt on it it will come out with a stain -even if pretreated. It is suppose to have a smart water level detection but I have found if I use anything but the deep fill this machine does not put in enough water to get the whole load wet. I have had this machine for less than 1 yr and I am looking for a replacement front loader next time. I am more than willing to take the hit for what I paid for this LG machine. So disappointed.

This is the absolute worst washer I have ever experienced. I put clothes in dirty and they come out still dirty. If they smell they come out still smelly. Perfume smell doesnt even wash away. If you stain anything you can forget about it its ruined. There are streaks on the clothes and it does not matter what detergent you use or how much Ive tried pods and liquid. Ive tried every single cycle and cycle combination . I use HE detergent and the right amount. Sometimes the clothes arent even getting all wet There are dry spots. One time I put sheets in kind of folded and they came out still folded it barely agitated the clothes. What is the point of having an agitator? What is the point of having a warranty if Lg wont do anything. They sent someone out who said nothing was wrong with the washer or install. LG keeps telling me just use HE detergent as if I am stupid. I have been using the correct detergent the whole time and they know that. I never write negative reviews but Lg has been so difficult to work with and if I can save anyone else the $500 and ruined clothes I will Dont buy

Not enough water. Or too much

As other users have found the dishwasher does not add enough water to cover the clothes on the normal cycle. If I use deep washer bedding the washer fills to the very brim and thats a waste of water. My particular machine does not have an add water feature. Also the soap dispenser cup fills with water and it never drains. So Im left with nearly a cup of water sitting in the machine after a cycle. Theres no easy way to remove the container and dump the water. It ends up dumping into the bottom of the basket which can contribute to mold. It also makes a strong chugging sound even when the load is still in water is draining. Its almost like a recording so we feel the washing machine is doing a vigorous job. Id look for another washer if I were to do it over again. no problems with the dryer.

I bought LG because my appliance repairmen recommended the brand and I chose this very basic model because of the excellent on-line price and good direct sales service at LG. The enclosed Quick Guide Owners Manual that came with the shipment did not cover this exact model rather detailed every possible function in the entire range of washers so I had to download my models specific operation details from the website for clarity. Normal cycle doesnt seem to supply enough wash water at least for large loads and hitting the Deep Fill button transitions to Deep Wash which fills the washer to maximum capacity which can be way too much water. When I asked about this before buying the machine on-line support said Id be able to control the specific amount of water but that is definitely not the case with this washer. A post-sales call resulted in the same misinformation. A smaller load of whites cleaned just fine in Normal and other cycles seem to supply perfect levels of water but Heavy Duty takes over an hour and a half to finish a load - maybe my towels and jeans could finally use such a long thorough cleaning. Dont waste your time with the ThinQ application on this model the app must be optimized for more advanced models. The machines chimes and the song that plays at the end of a washing cycle are too loud and despite on-line supports information can not be turned off or lowered. Agents dont seem to be trained on the very specific model you ask about they reference buttons and displays that dont exist. At such a low price I can overlook each quirk and the overall effort if the brands reliability proves itself in the coming years.

READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE FROM LG WEBSITE

I originally ordered a washing machine from LGs website on August 19. I selected the delivery date of Sept. 3.. The day before the delivery I received an email from LG telling me the delivery date was being moved to Sept. 6. On Sept 5th I called to confirm a delivery time. They transferred me to their 3rd party delivery company LX Pantos. I was told there was a mix-up and they dont deliver on Saturdays so I would need to be rescheduled for Sept 12. They told me this was LGs fault and to take it up with them. I was very unhappy I had to wait another week so I called LGs customer service. They apologized and gave me a $50 discount and 1-year extended warranty. I said that was OK and accepted the new delivery date. I was told I would receive a call the morning of the delivery or night before to inform me of the time window during which they would be coming. On the morning of Sept 12 I never received a call so I called the delivery company and was told it was on the truck and would be at my home between 11-3pm and the delivery driver would call me when he was on his way. At 4:45 after they did not show or call I called the delivery company again. I was told the delivery window changed to 1-5pm. I knew they were not going to make it since that window was almost closed so I addressed my concerns and was told they deliver until 7pm and it will be there. After no one called or showed by 7:30 I called the delivery company back and was told they werent sure what happened and they would transfer me to LG. LGs office was closed by this time so I had to call back the next day Saturday Sept. 13 When I spoke with LG on Sept 13 I was told this was a LX Pantos problem and I had to deal with them. I asked to speak with a supervisor to help escalate this and was told there was nothing they could do. I then received an email from LG telling me my delivery date was moved with no explanation on why they didnt show on Sept 12 to 9/19. I called Delos Santos to tell them this was unacceptable. They said that they would have Christian from Distribution call me on Monday. 9/15. I called back on 9/15 when I did not receive a call from Christian and was given Christians number to call him/her directly. The number did not answer and does not allow you to leave a voicemail. I then called LX Pantos back and they told me they felt really bad and were able to move the date up to 9/17. I then received a confirmation email from LG stating the date was moved to 9/17 and I would receive a call the day before or morning of giving me a delivery time window. I did not receive a call so I called them the morning of 9/17. I was told that there was an issue with the barcode and that they can not deliver it that day and it will need to be rescheduled for 9/19. I called LG and they told me theres nothing they can do. Their customer service is in the Philippines and they could not provide me with a US phone number for support. They said that because its in LX Pantos hands there is nothing more they can do. I called LX Pantos again asking for support and was told they would have a supervisor call me back. At this point I have now called off two days of work waiting for this delivery and spent over 15 hours on the phone trying to track down my washing machine. I understand that things happen and delivery days need to be adjusted. However I have never experienced such a blatant disregard for what I was going through as a customer from both LGs call center and LX Pantos. Not only could no one help me but it seemed like no one cared. I finally received my washing machine on 9/18 I had to call to receive a time window that day as well. When delivered they tracked mud across my floor requiring me to steam clean my carpets. The washing machine does seem to work well so far Its only been a week. My suggestion to you purchase from a local retailer with much better customer service and support. This was the worst purchasing experience of my life and thats saying something I will never purchase anything from LG ever again. I hope this helps anyone reading this.

I am submitting a formal complaint against LG Electronics regarding a washer purchase that has resulted in over a month of failed deliveries misleading communication and unresolved service. On July 19 2024 I purchased a washer online from LG and scheduled delivery for Friday July 25 2024. I took the day off work to ensure I was home. By 2:00 p.m. no delivery had arrived. When I called LG at 2:12 p.m. I was told to contact their delivery company at 844 740-3966. That company informed me they never received the washer from LG. I immediately called LG back at 2:26 p.m. and spent 28 minutes on the phone. I was told the delivery company would reschedule within 2448 hours. However no one contacted me. From that point forward I made numerous calls to LG and the delivery company between July 28 and August 15 repeatedly being told conflicting information: That my order was being rescheduled then that it was canceled. That a replacement machine was in transit only to later be told the delivery company never had it. That my washer had been delivered when it had not. That a manager would return my call yet after multiple requests I never received a single follow-up. Key timeline highlights: July 30: Received an email saying LG received a return/replacement request although I never initiated one. July 31: Assigned a new order number. August 4: Email stating the washer was shipped. August 5: Delivery company said they had no record of the order. August 12: Delivery company again confirmed they never received the washer from LG. LG offered me $50 compensation but could not resolve delivery. August 15: Made three separate calls. I was given contradictory information: first told the washer was with the delivery company then told I had already received it which is false and then told LG was still waiting on an email confirmation. I have spent countless hours on the phone with LG received repeated false statements been denied escalation to a manager always in a meeting and still have no washer delivered nearly a month later. At this point I am requesting that LG either: 1.Immediately deliver the washer I purchased or an Upgraded model of their choice at no additional cost. LGs mishandling of this purchase has caused me financial loss taking off work for missed delivery repeated phone calls frustration and a lack of trust in their service.

I just got this today. I had Best Buy swap it with another brand washer I purchased. We did 3 washes right away to make sure we didnt get another dud. My wife likes it cause of the simplicity she doesnt need a degree to operate it. We had to have an agitator had to be quite not dance all over the floor when in spin cycle and clean cloths. This machine checks all the boxes. Its made in the USA. When I close the washroom door its silent and very quite if the door is open.

Regular cycle doesnt add nearly enough water clothes dont even get fully wet let alone submerged. Have to use extra fill. No matter how items are loaded they are usually a tangled wad upon completion. Add the chiming What good is it to have a quiet cycle if the thing dings a million times trying to get cycle adjusted correctly b/c detergent cant be loaded at start empties immediately onto dry clothing leaving big residue blobs b/c again not enough water is used. And the cycle done song Forget if there is a small child or anyone sleeping its alarm clock loud w/o adjustment. HATE it

This washer I bought one week ago and it is a life changer I love the different cycles and all my clothes have washed great so far. Its important to note if you have a full load maybe to select deep wash. Best washing machine I have had in my lifetime. Remember to also remove the tray if your using powder soap. I have loaded large blankets/comforters and they have cleaned completely well. Great cycles and easy to operate. Very quiet with a nice tune at the end of the cycle so you know your wash is complete.

Im really sorry I listened to CR and bought this washer. Day 1 I tested the spin cycle empty and it vibrated so badly that it shook the house. 3 weeks later they replaced the tub and it still shakes but not quite as bad. The repair guy said that is normal for LG even he didnt like the brand Im afraid to use it but Im stuck with it.

Spin for bedspread and quilts is UNIMPRESSIVE. Easily gets UE warning with only one bedspread and finally after adjustments and cycle finish it is wet for dryer. Very disappointed.

Good washer

I like this washer so far. The pros are that it is quiet has a good balancing system and you can wash a lot in one load. The cons are I dislike the normal setting just not enough water to properly wash the clothes. So I have learned to use the Heavy Duty or the Deepwash. I have only had it a few months so cant comment on durability.

I had this machine 1 1/2 years and it broke. Of course right after warranty expired. Customer service wasnt helpful troubleshooting problem. And repair to fix water inlet valve is almost $400 and I only spent $480 for the entire washer. Dont buy Its a waste of money

Awful Machine - nothing but problems

Absolutely terrible. First running a load it wouldnt drain and started blinking like crazy after it said it was complete the clothes would come out dripping wet I was ringing out the clothes of water. I would try again. 4 hours later and same thing. I ended up unplugging washer with all clothes on there and running another load and after 6 hours bingo Then it did the below see images with the detergent and ruined this towel. Absolutely awful machine

I have no control over adding more water. All cycles should have hot water. Heavy duty cycle is way too long. My clothes were way more white. If I knew how this machine worked prior to buying it it would not. The dryer is nice. I quinge when its laundry time.

Wish I could give this a zero. Every other load comes out dirty...streaked with detergent or fabric softener and requiring a re-wash. Huge waste of water and detergents and it doesnt link to the LG app so we cant even diagnose it.

I bought this At Lowes and by the time I got it home it had malfunction. The drum doesnt line up with the bleach dispenser and therefore it goes under the washing machine instead of into the bleach dispenser which as resulted in floor damage and Ive had the awful time trying to get Help to return it back to the store because it is useless

I bought this machine at lowes on 6/24/2023. As soon as I started washing I didnt like how it didnt have the different size loads so I called and asked how to choose the size of wash. The answer was not easy to understand so Ive been washing using the normal and deep wash cycles. Well the normal cycle is for very small loads. The deep cycle is for larger loads but this one takes about one and half hours to complete the cycle. I hate it so much. Out of frustration I called again and the answer was very vague. I want another washer that works and its easier to work with
